Hi guys. Courtney here. I just realized that my syllabus for class is missing, and I am hoping that someone can tell me what the readings are for Tuesday..... just post it on the blog if you know please!
Also I was thinking about my project for this class and I have a lot of ideas- that none of you are allowed to steal! But I am willing to bounce ideas off of each other!
I could do something about the way social networking is different from say 30 years ago
OR
I could do something about how fan culture has gone crazy on the internet
OR
Something about the effects of the Disney channel on kids these days! YIKES!
As you can see I am all oer the place and I need some help, so let me know what you guys think on these!

ReplyDeleteYou fixed on fan culture. That's great, even though I wish you were doing something with the implications of social networking as it exists today. Comparison to the past would be cool, too, but I think that would be like "comparing" two entirely dissimilar things. Facebook vs. a reading group or something. But the implications of current social networking . . . unless the Facebook stuff only exists to get you in touch with someone with whom you then go on to have an actual regular relationship with, including correspondence and/or face-to-face social contact. I wonder how people do use Facebook, etc.
